Naperville 203 Schools Serving Farmstead
Farmstead was developed in the mid-to late 1970s and remains a vibrant asset today due to its proximity to three area schools, the Naper Boulevard Library and several parks. Within the center of the neighborhood lies the Farmstead Swim & Racquet Club, a private facility, which draws bondholders throughout Southeast Naperville. Farmstead is less than 1 mile from two District 203 elementary schools and Madison Junior High.

Approximately 440 children from Farmstead attend Scott School located just south on Naper Boulevard — many families walk or bike to the school by traveling south on Fair Oak Road and west on Hidden Lake Drive using the crosswalk at Naper Boulevard in front of the school. Approximately 450 students enrolled from kindergarten through grade 5 benefit from a high level of parental involvement, veteran administrators and faculty and a range of school and community-based programming such as Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Battle of the Books, Running Club, band, orchestra and Critter Club. Scott is the only all-walker school in Naperville District 203. It is located within walking distance of Naper Carriage Hill, Oak Creek, Hunters Woods, Fieldstone, River Ridge Circle, Evergreen Woods and several multi-family developments.

Madison lies between two expansive playing fields and provides ample space for football, cross country, track and field. Students can participate in several other athletic activities as well Computer Club, Chess Club, Drama Club, Newspaper, Speech, Student Council, Scrapbooking, Technology Club, and Yearbook.
